Overview
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Kitchen Hand / Dishwasher to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and smooth-running kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cleanliness, food safety, and supporting culinary operations in a fast-paced hospitality setting. Previous experience in restaurants is strongly preferred; a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are key. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food handling, kitchen operations, and hospitality service.
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met
- Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout the shift
- Support the organization of dishware, utensils, and kitchen supplies for efficient use
- Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling protocols are followed
- Help with basic food handling duties in compliance with safety regulations
- Support the overall cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen environment to uphold health standards
- Assist with setting up dining areas or service stations as needed during busy periods
