12-Month Maternity Leave Contract | GTA, ON
Our client, a leading food manufacturing company, is looking for a Supply Chain Analyst to join their team for a 12-month maternity leave contract. This opportunity is ideal for a supply chain professional with 3–5 years of experience who enjoys working in a dynamic manufacturing environment where planning, collaboration, and continuous improvement are key to success.
As a member of the Supply Chain team, you'll help ensure materials are available to support production, maintain accurate inventory and purchasing data, and contribute to the efficient movement of products throughout the supply chain. You'll partner with multiple departments to support day-to-day operations while identifying opportunities to improve processes and overall performance.
- Manage material planning activities, including forecasting, inventory replenishment, and purchase order coordination.
- Develop production plans and schedules that align with customer demand and operational capacity.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, monitoring delivery performance and resolving supply issues.
- Track inventory levels, incoming shipments, and production requirements to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Maintain accurate ERP data, including product information, bills of materials, and purchasing records.
- Analyze supply chain performance, supplier metrics, and freight costs to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare reports and performance metrics to support business decisions.
- Contribute to cross-functional initiatives focused on process improvements, cost savings, ERP enhancements, and new product introductions.
- 2–3 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, production planning, inventory management, or logistics.
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related discipline.
- Experience within a manufacturing or food production environment is considered a strong asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP or inventory management systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to manage competing priorities while working effectively with cross-functional teams.
