Position Overview
We are seeking a driven Field Sales Representative based out of Edmonton to grow our presence across Northern Alberta’s oil & gas market. This territory-focused role is responsible for expanding revenue through distribution partners while driving product approvals and specifications with producers, midstream operators, and EPCMs throughout the region.
The successful candidate will be highly visible in the field—conducting site visits, joint calls, plant tours, and project engagement across key Northern Alberta corridors. This is a hands-on, relationship-driven role requiring strong technical knowledge and a proactive approach to territory development.
Key Responsibilities
Territory & Channel Development
- Own and execute the growth strategy for Northern Alberta.
- Build strong working relationships with distributor decision-makers and outside sales teams.
- Conduct regular joint sales calls, site visits, and customer meetings.
- Identify and develop new distribution opportunities within the territory.
- Deliver product training sessions and lunch & learns.
- Drive accountability and performance within the channel.
- Monitor competitive activity and market share trends.
End-User & EPC Engagement
- Secure product approvals with producers, midstream operators, and EPCMs.
- Work with Asset Integrity, Engineering, and Procurement teams to achieve AML status.
- Promote valve and fitting solutions directly to end users to influence specifications.
- Actively track capital projects, expansions, turnarounds, and maintenance programs.
- Build multi-level relationships with engineers, reliability teams, and operations leaders.
Business Development & Prospecting
- Identify new project opportunities and emerging market segments.
- Develop account plans targeting both distribution and direct end-user relationships.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and activity reports.
- Represent the company at industry events and networking functions
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of field sales experience in industrial valves, flow control, or oilfield equipment.
- Strong knowledge of VVF products (ball, gate, globe, check, butterfly, fittings).
- Experience working through distribution channels in a territory-based role.
- Demonstrated success securing approvals with producers and midstream operators.
- Familiarity with AML processes and vendor qualification requirements.
- Established network within Northern Alberta oil & gas markets preferred.
- Self-motivated, competitive, and comfortable working independently in a field environment.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout Northern Alberta.
Education
- Post-secondary education in Engineering, Technical Sales, Business, or related field preferred.
- Equivalent industry experience considered.

Pay: $90,000.00-$200,000.00 per year
