Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will assist dentists in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the office. This role requires a blend of clinical expertise and excellent interpersonal skills to create a welcoming environment for patients.
Schedule: Part time or Full time both options available
For Full time: 40 hrs/week Guaranteed
Location: Across All Greenwoods Winnipeg Locations.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment area according to infection control protocols.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care.
- Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and managing patient inquiries.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred; experience in pediatrics or orthodontics is a plus.
- Proficiency in dental software such as Maxident is desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Certification in dental assisting is MANDATORY.
- Familiarity with CAD technology is a major advantage.
