Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and energetic Crew Member to support both front-of-house and kitchen operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about food quality and customer service. You will assist with beverage preparation, food preparation, customer service, and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities Food & Beverage Preparation
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high quality and presentation standards.
- Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and cooking ingredients as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food handling and storage practices.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
- Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure the health and safety of our guests.
- Participate in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of shortages.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques, equipment, and kitchen tools.

- Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and specialty beverages following company recipes and procedures.
- Assist with meal preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, assembling, and cooking ingredients.
- Ensure all food and beverages are prepared in a timely manner during peak service hours.
Customer Service & Front Counter Support
- Provide friendly, professional customer service by greeting guests and taking orders accurately.
- Operate POS systems for order processing, cash handling, and payment transactions.
- Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
Cleanliness, Safety & Operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, café, equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards at all times.
- Ensure proper food storage, labeling, and handling procedures are followed.
- Support inventory management by monitoring supplies and reporting shortages to management.
Teamwork & Efficiency
- Collaborate closely with kitchen and front-of-house team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Manage time effectively to meet service demands and operational expectations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, kitchen operations, café, or retail food service is an asset but not required.
- Strong understanding of food safety and food handling practices (or willingness to learn).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and perform well in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and cash accurately.
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive and dependable attitude.
- Willingness to be trained across multiple roles within the café.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
