Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Night Shift Manager to oversee operations during overnight hours. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a background in facilities maintenance or custodial services. This role involves managing a team, ensuring facility cleanliness, and maintaining safety standards to support the company's operational excellence. The Night Shift Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards during the overnight shift.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate nightly cleaning and maintenance activities to ensure facility standards are met.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment to perform routine custodial and maintenance tasks.
- Oversee the use of facilities maintenance equipment, including troubleshooting minor issues and coordinating repairs as needed.
- Manage a team of custodial staff, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing training or guidance.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and proper use of equipment to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Conduct inspections of work areas to verify cleanliness, safety, and operational standards.
- Maintain detailed records of daily activities, supplies used, and maintenance performed.
- Communicate effectively with day shift managers and other departments regarding ongoing issues or needs.
- Handle customer service inquiries related to facility concerns with professionalism and efficiency.
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary for moving supplies or equipment.
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment used in commercial cleaning and facilities maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of custodial practices and commercial cleaning procedures.
- Experience in facilities maintenance or custodial services is preferred.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during overnight operations.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for supervising staff and coordinating with other departments.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during shift hours.

Pay: $52,907.69-$136,577.18 per year
