We are looking for a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Staff Accountant & Office Administrator to join our management team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1–3 years of accounting experience who wants to grow with a dynamic and expanding business.
About the Role
This position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting and administrative operations of the farm.
During our busy season (May through October), you will manage daily accounting activities and payroll. During the off-season, you will assist with financial reporting, process improvements, budgeting, and office administration to help prepare the business for the next season.
This role offers a variety of responsibilities and opportunities to learn many aspects of running a seasonal business.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting
- Record daily sales transactions in QuickBooks Online
- Record supplier invoices and business expenses
- Reconcile daily POS, Moneris, online bookings, bank deposits, and credit card transactions
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Process bi-weekly payroll
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
- Assist with HST filings and government remittances
- Support month-end and year-end closing
- Prepare management reports and financial summaries
Office Administration
- Maintain employee files and payroll records
- Assist with onboarding new employees
- Organize accounting and administrative documents
- Support event invoicing and customer account administration
- Coordinate with managers across multiple departments
- Assist with business improvement projects and administrative tasks as required
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
- Experience using QuickBooks Online is highly preferred
- Experience processing payroll is an asset
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
Work Arrangement
This is a hybrid position (Primarily on site).
During our peak operating season (May through October), the successful candidate will work primarily on-site at Andrews Farm Market and Winery.
During the off-season, when accounting activities are lighter, there is greater flexibility to work remotely for approved tasks such as reconciliations, payroll preparation, financial reporting, and month-end procedures. Regular on-site attendance is still required for meetings, document management, and business needs.

Compensation
$25–$30 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
