Job Overview
The Business Accounting (BA) Instructor is responsible for teaching the BAprogram to students in a classroom and/or online environment.
Responsibilities
1. Course Instruction & Student Engagement: Teach courses, provide learning activities, and attend to student needs.
2. Curriculum & Instructional Design: Prepare course syllabus, instructional design, study guides, and supplementary materials.
3. Practical Skills Training: Teach, demonstrate, and evaluate practical skills through simulated scenarios and practicum placements.
4. Student Assessment & Evaluation: Evaluate student submissions, readiness for practical placements, and mark tests while preparing grade sheets and transcripts.
5. Placement Management & Liaison: Direct, manage, and evaluate student performance during practical placements, providing feedback to the Site Coordinator and School Director.
Qualifications
- Accounting Designation as Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA, or Certified General Accountant (CGA) and/or 3+ years of full-time experience working in an accounting related position
- Attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of financial software applications (Sage, Excel)
- Knowledge of current accounting standards
- Current (within past 6 months) criminal record check
Working Conditions
- Utilizing a variety of teaching aids to deliver the program content in class or online.
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
