Overview
We're looking for an experienced HVAC Technician with a valid G2 Gas Technician license to join our team in Toronto. This is a full-time position for a technician who's comfortable working independently on residential and/or commercial systems and takes pride in quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including furnaces, heat pumps, ventilation units, and boilers to ensure peak performance.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and mechanical drawings to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
- Troubleshoot mechanical components including motors, fans, compressors, thermostats, and control systems to identify root causes of malfunctions.
- Carry out appliance repairs related to HVAC equipment and assist with construction projects involving HVAC infrastructure.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports to track system performance and repair history.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in HVAC systems.
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams for accurate troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures for HVAC equipment to maximize lifespan and efficiency.
- Familiarity with schematics for electrical wiring and control systems within HVAC units.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and clearly document work performed.
Requirements
- Valid TSSA G2 Gas Technician license (required)
- 2–5 years of hands-on HVAC experience
- Valid G2 licence in good standing
- Own basic hand tools (company provides specialty tools/equipment)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
