Elora Distilling Company is a distiller-led award winning grain to glass distillery located in picturesque Elora, Ontario founded in 2020. We ferment, distill, blend, and package on site a variety of premium spirits and liqueurs with an emphasis on using local ingredients whenever possible. In 5 short years, we have won multiple awards on the national and world stage for the quality of our spirits and our contributions to local tourism and culture and have experienced consistent, year over year sales growth.
Elora Distilling Company is seeking a dynamic, passionate, and experienced Kitchen Manager to lead its kitchen operations into a new era. The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking culinary leader with a strong background in seasonal, locally sourced menus and a commitment to excellence.
We are building out our food program and looking for a KM that can lead our culinary team, oversee kitchen investments and create a team and menu that will elevate our hospitality program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all back-of-house operations, including kitchen leadership, staff development, and scheduling
- Design and execute seasonal menus that reflect creativity, local ingredients, and customer trends
- Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and portioning standards
- Manage food and labor costs in alignment with budgetary goals
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Foster a positive, professional kitchen culture
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a Sous Chef or Head Chef
- Proven track record of team leadership and kitchen management
- Keen awareness of industry trends and evolving customer preferences
- Experience with menu costing, inventory, and supplier relationships
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset for cross-departmental collaboration
