The Job
This role encompasses responsibilities for setting up and managing tests in the product test environment, building and executing mock up tests, performing maintenance work within the facility, and providing production support with the assembly team.
This is a hands-on role combining hands-on technical expertise, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities to ensure efficient operations and accurate test results. Comfortability in working with water and in water pools is a must.
Assembly & Test Pool
- Assembly: Install components, wiring, connectors, and hardware using hand and power tools; support basic cable assembly, fitting, fastening, and inspection.
- Mock-Ups & Testing: Build test fixtures and mock-ups using wood, metal, plumbing components, and other materials; support setup and functional testing as required.
- Documentation & Quality: Follow drawings and work instructions, record test and production information, and report defects, discrepancies, or abnormal results.
- 5S: Maintain Assembly, Test Pool, woodworking, and other work areas to established safety, cleanliness, and organization standards.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED; technical certification not required
- 2+ years of experience in a technical or maintenance role, ideally involving testing setups or mechanical/electrical systems.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Successful candidates must be able to provide proof of eligibility at time of hire.
Technical Skills:
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
- Familiarity with tools and equipment used for plumbing, electrical work and general carpentry
- Experience with testing methodologies and data collection processes.
- Proficiency in using measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers) and technical drawings.

- Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical documentation, procedures, specifications, and work instructions in English.
- Ability to accurately document work, prepare reports, and maintain records in English.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 LBS
- Comfortable working in factory environment
Optional:
- Forklift or equipment operation certification.
- Experience with facility management or job site protocols.
- Occasional travel to job sites

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
