Our client located in the Kleinburg area is seeking an AP Specialist to join their team. The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient administration of the organization's accounts payable function. This role oversees the timely processing of financial transactions, maintains detailed accounting records, and supports the overall integrity of the company's financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, verify, and process vendor invoices, purchase orders, job costing documentation, and other payment-related transactions.
- Confirm that all invoices and purchase orders have received the necessary approvals before payment is issued.
- Prepare and process payments while ensuring accuracy and compliance with established deadlines.
- Organize and maintain accounts payable documentation, including invoices, receipts, and supporting records, in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain accurate financial records and assist with the ongoing management of accounting data.
- Complete corporate credit card reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
- Monitor outstanding payables by reviewing aging reports and following up on overdue items when required.
- Research and resolve vendor account issues, payment variances, and invoice discrepancies.
- Provide administrative support and perform additional office-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred.
- Minimum of two to three years of experience in an accounting or accounts payable role.
Required Skills:
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using accounting and financial management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of accuracy with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and teamwork skills.
- Effective organizational abilities with the capacity to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.

Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
