Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of diesel marine engines , marine transmissions, and parts to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment
- Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques
- Repair or replace faulty components to minimize downtime
- Use hand tools and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed
- Assist in troubleshooting complex mechanical problems and recommend solutions
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and company policies
- Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance procedures and workflows
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar role with mechanical knowledge
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for repair work
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, or related fields preferred
- Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to safety protocols and quality standards
- Relevant certifications or technical training in mechanics is a plus
Pay: $18.00-$30.00 per hour
