Journeyman Carpenter

We're looking for an experienced Journeyman Carpenter who is confident working independently, leading small projects when required, and producing work they are proud to put their name on.
What You'll Be Doing
- Complete all aspects of residential renovations, from demolition to final finishing.
- Frame walls, floors, ceilings, decks, additions, and structural repairs.
- Install doors, windows, trim, baseboards, casing, crown moulding, and custom millwork.
- Install cabinetry, vanities, countertops, flooring, and finish carpentry.
- Build and repair decks, fences, sheds, and exterior structures.
- Perform drywall repairs, boarding, taping touch-ups, and finishing when required.
- Complete minor tile work and other finishing tasks.
- Read drawings and plans while helping solve site challenges as they arise.
- Work closely with electricians, plumbers, drywall finishers, painters, and other trades.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners and represent Paul's Walls and Sons in a positive manner.
- Mentor apprentices and labourers while maintaining a productive work environment.
What We're Looking For
- Journeyman Carpenter certification or equivalent residential renovation experience.
- Minimum 5 years of carpentry experience.
- Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and Ontario building practices.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience with renovations, remodels, additions, and custom carpentry.
- Ability to read plans and accurately complete work to specification.
- High attention to detail with pride in producing quality workmanship.
- Positive attitude, dependable, and team-oriented.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to tackle a variety of projects.
- Valid G driver's licence with reliable transportation.
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various weather conditions.
Assets (Not Required)
- Experience with drywall, flooring, tile, painting, or minor plumbing.
- Experience operating skid steers, mini excavators, or other equipment.
- Working at Heights, WHMIS, First Aid, or other safety certifications.
- Experience leading small crews or mentoring apprentices.

Pay: $26.23-$36.51 per hour
