Mexican Amigos is an established, busy full-service Mexican restaurant in Richmond Hill. We are looking for experienced, energetic and professional servers to join our team.
We are looking for candidates who understand that excellent customer service is the top priority. Our servers are expected to provide friendly, attentive and efficient service from the moment a guest arrives until they leave.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of full-service restaurant serving experience required
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
- Valid Smart Serve certification
- Comfortable handling multiple tables in a busy restaurant environment
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to confidently explain menu items and make recommendations
- Experience with alcoholic beverages, cocktails and responsible alcohol service
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team
- Must be available for evening and weekend shifts
- Knowledge of Mexican cuisine, tequila and cocktails is an asset
- Spanish-speaking ability is an asset
- Experience working in a Mexican or Latin restaurant is an asset
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service
- Take accurate food and beverage orders
- Learn and understand our food and drink menu
- Explain dishes, ingredients and specials to guests
- Make food and beverage recommendations
- Upsell appetizers, cocktails, entrées and desserts appropriately
- Check on guests throughout their dining experience
- Handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Maintain clean and organized tables and sections
- Process bills and payments accurately
- Communicate effectively with kitchen, bar and other team members
- Follow Smart Serve and restaurant policies
- Help create a fun, welcoming and professional atmosphere

Important
This is not an entry-level serving position. Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of recent full-service restaurant serving experience.
