Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Deli Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, slicing deli meats and cheeses, serving food items, and maintaining a clean and organized deli area. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced food industry environment, ensuring customers receive quality products with a positive shopping experience.
Duties
- Prepare and assemble deli food items, including slicing meats and cheeses, and creating sandwiches or salads as ordered
- Assist customers with their selections, answer questions about products, and provide exceptional customer service
- Handle food safely by following sanitation and food safety protocols
- Maintain cleanliness of the deli area, including sanitizing surfaces and proper food handling procedures
- Restock shelves and display cases with fresh products to ensure availability throughout the shift
Requirements
- Must be available for all store hour shifts including weekends.
- Knowledge of food preparation, handling, and safety standards in the food industry
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude and good communication abilities
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Deli/Cheese or food industry experience is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as needed
Pay: $17.60 per hour
