Journeyman Automotive Service Technician
Location: Calgary, Alberta
We're looking for a Journeyman Automotive Service Technician to join a busy, high-performing dealership service team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician seeking a modern shop, consistent workflow, ongoing manufacturer training, and strong earning potential. Whether you have experience with this manufacturer's vehicles or another brand, comprehensive training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
Perform warranty, recall, and customer-pay repairs in accordance with manufacturer standards.
Complete accurate repair orders, documentation, and warranty claims.
Road test vehicles to verify customer concerns and confirm repairs.
Mentor and support apprentice technicians in their development.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician Certificate (Red Seal endorsement is considered an asset; equivalent out-of-province certifications are welcome).
Minimum 3 years of experience in a dealership or independent automotive repair facility.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, particularly with drivability and electrical systems.
Own professional automotive tools.
Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract.
Previous manufacturer-specific training is an asset but not required.
