We (Food Gremlin) operate a fast-paced kitchen out of a busy bar space and are looking for a powerhouse cook to join our team. We pride ourselves on maintaining a highly respectful, positive, and appreciative kitchen environment – no toxic yelling, no drama, just a team that respects your craft and values hard work.
Because we know top-tier talent is often already employed full-time, we do scheduling differently: you help choose your set days, and we guarantee your schedule stays locked in. Perfect for a strong cook looking for a reliable side hustle with potential to grow.
What we require (Non-Negotiable)
- Proven Kitchen Experience: you must have relevant, hand-ons line and prep experience. We need someone who can step in, find their flow quickly, and execute high quality work.
- Rock Solid Reliability: Because we offer schedule consistency, we expect the same in return. Show up on time and on your A-Game every shift.
- Work Ethic & Passion: We need someone who genuinely cares about food quality, clean habits, and isn’t afraid to put in the hard work when the line gets busy.
- Positive Attitude: A respectful work environment is important to us so you must be able work well with others and receive feedback when needed.
The Runway
Right now, this is a consistent part-time summer gig to stack extra income around your existing schedule. However, for the right fit who proves their skills and reliability this summer, this role has potential to transition into a full-time position this September. It’s a great opportunity to come test drive our kitchen and team, show us what you can do, and see if we are a great fit for the long haul.
