Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Alarm Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with burglary alarm systems and access control technologies, along with relevant certifications or training. This role involves installation, programming, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security systems for residential and commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, service, and maintain burglary alarm and access control systems
Program and troubleshoot alarm panels and integrated systems
Ensure systems meet safety and compliance standards
Provide technical support and guidance to clients when needed
Work independently or under supervision depending on certification level
Qualifications & Requirements:
Burglary Alarm (BA): TQ certification or working under supervision (Low Voltage Certification required)
Strong knowledge of DSC NEO, DMP (free designation acceptable), and ICT systems
Certification in Alarm.com Access Control (ADC) (online certification required)
Experience with Kantech systems is considered an asset
Working knowledge of Brivo and ICT access control platforms
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks Valid driver's license (if field work required)
Preferred Skills:
Previous field experience in alarm or security system installation
Familiarity with commercial and residential systems
Good communication and customer service skills
