ABOUT THE POSITION
Nahanni Construction Ltd. is accepting resumes for a Logistics Coordinator. This position is ideally based out of our Edmonton, Alberta or Yellowknife, Northwest Territories office. However, remote candidates may be considered for the right fit, provided they are available to travel as required to support business and project needs. The incumbent will be working under the direction of the Operations manager.
SCOPE
- Coordinate the transportation of equipment, materials, and supplies to project sites.
- Track and monitor shipments, deliveries, and inventory levels.
- Liaise with vendors, freight carriers, suppliers, and project teams to ensure efficient logistics operations.
- Maintain accurate logistics records, reports, and documentation.
- Assist with procurement activities, purchase orders, and inventory management.
- Support project teams by ensuring required resources are available when and where needed.
- Maintain intercompany invoicing spread sheet and send invoices to appropriate project leads.
- Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes and reduce costs while maintaining service levels.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, transportation regulations, and site-specific requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
- Post-secondary education and/or previous experience in Logistics, or a related field is considered an asset.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, procurement, inventory control, or a related role.
- Experience coordinating the movement of equipment, materials, and supplies to multiple job sites.
- Strong understanding of transportation, freight, shipping, and receiving processes.
- Ability to coordinate and track shipments while ensuring timely delivery to project locations.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with vendors, carriers, project teams, and field personnel.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Experience using ERP, inventory management, or logistics software is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, reporting, and record keeping.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, purchase orders, and vendor management is considered an asset.
- Experience working in construction, mining, industrial, or remote site environments is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing operational requirements.
