Established in 2016 - Astrex Inc. is a manufacturer of aluminum extrusions used in automotive Crash Management Systems and body structure components.
Astrex is currently looking for a licensed Industrial Millwright to join our maintenance team in a new technologically-advanced and highly automated aluminum extrusion facility.
About The Role
The Industrial Millwright Mechanic will install, examine, repair, troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance to plant machinery and related equipment/facilities. Good judgement and excellent troubleshooting skills along with a commitment to safety is paramount to all organizational operations.
We require individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude, a solid understanding of electrical control and well-developed team work capability, yet can also work safely and efficiently on their own. The successful candidate will possess a valid 433A certification, and will have a minimum of three years of work experience with machining, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and an understanding of process are considered an asset.
Starting hourly rate is $42.52 for a fully certified and experienced Millwright, plus a shift premium of $1.50 for shifts on nights. Overtime, at time and one half, is payable after 40 weekly hours. We offer monthly production bonuses, health benefits, and pension plan contributions. The Maintenance department works continental, 12 hour shifts rotating on a monthly basis between days and nights.
