General Statement of Duties:

The Driller is responsible for managing the rig floor, crew, and driller’s console together with all associated equipment.
Supervision Received:
-
The Driller reports to, and receives supervision from, the Rig Manager.
Supervision Exercised:
-
The Driller is responsible for supervising the crew, ensuring that the job is performed safely and efficiently and according to industry requirements and Company/Contractor policy.
Summary of Duties (Duties may include, but are not limited to the following):
-
Operate drilling equipment and oversee daily drilling operations
-
Lead and supervise rig crews to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently
-
Conduct pre-job meetings and participate in safety programs and inspections
-
Ensure equipment is operated and maintained according to company standards
-
Complete required reports, logs, and operational documentation
-
Train, mentor, and develop crew members
-
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Education and Experience:
-
Previous experience as a Driller is required.

Valid and current safety certifications (H2S Alive, CSO, TDG, WHMIS, Standard First Aid Level C, Fall Protection, Rig Rescue, Confined Space Rescue, First Line Well Control)
