Pay: $19.00/hour during probation (3 months or sooner), increasing to $21.00/hour upon successful completion of probation. Overtime paid after 44 hours per week.

The Career Foundation is currently seeking a Customer Service Representative on behalf of one of our employer partners.
Our employer partner is a well-established Canadian distributor specializing in cabinet hardware, kitchen and furniture accessories, and related building products. With multiple locations across the Greater Toronto Area, they are known for providing quality products and exceptional customer service to contractors, cabinet manufacturers, retailers, and homeowners. As the company continues to grow, they are looking for a motivated Customer Service Representative to join their team.
Job Summary
We're seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to provide outstanding support to customers while ensuring accurate order processing and efficient branch operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and is interested in growing into an Inside Sales or Outside Sales role.
Responsibilities
- Process customer orders received by phone, email, and walk-in customers.
- Accurately enter orders into the company's ERP system.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, availability, order status, and returns.
- Assist customers at the showroom/front counter with product selection and order inquiries.
- Support accounts receivable by assisting with collection calls and follow-ups on overdue accounts.
- Work collaboratively with the sales, warehouse, and delivery teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Maintain customer records and complete general administrative duties.
- Provide occasional warehouse support, including picking orders, organizing inventory, and restocking products during busy periods.
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience in retail, wholesale, distribution, or a similar environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Comfortable learning ERP or order management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and basic math skills.
- Valid Ontario driver's licence.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Assets
- Experience in hardware, building materials, cabinetry, furniture, or industrial supply.
- Previous experience with sales, upselling, or cross-selling.
- Familiarity with cabinet hardware such as hinges, drawer slides, and handles.
- Experience using QuickBooks or ERP software.
- Additional languages such as Mandarin, Cantonese, Filipino, Vietnamese, Farsi, or other languages are considered an asset.
