Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Gravel Truck Driver with low bed experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting gravel and other materials to various job sites, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and vehicle maintenance. Duties
- Operate gravel trucks with low bed attachments to deliver materials to construction sites and other locations.
- Safely load and unload materials using appropriate equipment, including forklifts when necessary.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Assist with the operation of heavy equipment and perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and communicate effectively with dispatch regarding schedules and delivery status.
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during transportation activities.
- Assist in the maintenance of trucks and related equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience operating low bed trailers and heavy trucks, especially gravel or similar materials.
- Familiarity with forklift operation, freight handling, and heavy equipment operation is preferred.
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, loading, and unloading materials.
- Strong attention to safety standards and regulations governing commercial transportation.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. This position is essential for maintaining efficient operations on our construction projects, requiring a dedicated professional committed to safety and reliability in transportation services.
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
