Responsibilities:
-fitting of components as per shop drawings with confidence and accuracy
-heavy welding of technical weldments according to provided drawings
-experience with technical fabrications that require machining before and after welding
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding diagrams to determine the layout and specifications for fabrication projects.
- Weld and fabricate metal components according to project requirements, using various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
- Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet the required specifications and standards.
- Assemble fabricated parts into finished products, following assembly instructions and guidelines.
- Rig and move heavy materials and equipment using forklifts or other appropriate machinery.
- Perform basic machining tasks such as cutting, drilling, grinding, and sanding to prepare materials for fabrication.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
Skills:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and welding diagrams.
- Strong welding skills with experience in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques.
- Ability to assemble fabricated parts into finished products according to assembly instructions.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate fabrication according to specifications.
