Dixie Toyota is looking for a reliable, motivated, and eager-to-learn Apprentice Automotive Technician to join our Service Department. This is a hands-on opportunity to learn from experienced technicians, develop your automotive skills, and gain valuable dealership experience in a supportive, fast-paced environment.

As an Apprentice Technician, you will support our Service Department and experienced technicians with a variety of hands-on tasks, including:
Mount and dismount vehicle tires safely and efficiently
Organize, label, and move tires within the dealership
Assist Service Advisors with vehicle check-ins and the service drive-through
Perform oil changes and basic vehicle maintenance as training and experience allow
Assist technicians with general service and repair tasks
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop and work area
Follow proper safety procedures and dealership standards
Assist with other Service Department duties as required
Learn and develop automotive repair and maintenance skills under the guidance of experienced technicians
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education is an asset
Genuine interest in automotive service, vehicle maintenance, and automotive repair
Automotive knowledge or previous hands-on experience is an asset, but not required
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Reliable, responsible, and punctual
Strong attention to detail
Team-oriented with good communication skills
Self-motivated and able to take initiative
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and meeting deadlines
Basic computer and math skills
Ability to work 40 hours per week, including Saturdays
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks, including moving tires throughout the day
Valid Ontario G or G2 driver's licence required
Legally authorized to work in Canada
$19.00 per hour
