RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Vendor Support
- Assisting our Makers with merchandising, move ins / outs, providing feedback & support in person and via email, and helping them succeed!
- Assisting the management team with recruitment and onboarding of new makers.
- Assisting new makers during their move in, and data entry/updates to keep track of all makers in store.
Customer Service
- Welcoming, engaging and connecting with our customers in-store and by email.
- Learning about makers’ products and sharing your expertise with customers.
- Resolving issues effectively at store level in a timely and positive manner.
- Staying current, understanding and communicating Shop Makers’ customer and vendor policies as well as the wide range of services and events offered.
- Managing and monitoring the floor for customer support, loss prevention, etc.
Sales Management
- Processing point of sale transactions quickly and accurately.
- Understanding our daily/monthly/annual sales targets and contributing to your store’s success to hit your targets.
- Ensuring the store is visually appealing and fulfills company standards through product presentation, replenishment, store housekeeping, store maintenance and visual displays.
People Support
- Staying current on communications that are coming through at all team levels, and keeping the rest of your team informed.
- Training new team members as they are onboarded.
- Occasional project work for high performing employees.
RETAIL SALES SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of customer service principles and processes
- 1+ year experience in sales, retail, or customer service environments
- Business administration proficiency a plus
- Experience in team leadership & facilitation of work
