Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both commercial and industrial electrical industry, with a strong ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role involves renovating existing electrical systems and building new installations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. The Electrician will utilize both hand tools and power tools to execute tasks efficiently and effectively.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine wiring layouts and installation procedures.
- Perform renovations of existing electrical systems to enhance functionality or comply with updated codes.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete electrical tasks.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues or hazards.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as handymen, to ensure comprehensive project completion.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing electrical work.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Electrician, preferably in high & low voltage, residential & commercial industry. Also knowledge on Petroleum industry would be a great asset.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety standards.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with various hand tools and power tools used in electrical work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team on larger projects.
- Relevant certifications or licenses are mandatory.
- Must have a valid Class 5 driver's license
- Must have your own vehicle
- Must have personal hand & power tools.
