As the Energy Engineering Project Manager, you'll help Toronto Metropolitan University turn its sustainability commitments into measurable action. You'll help shape and deliver strategies that reduce energy consumption, lower greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and build a more sustainable future for the university.
Working closely with the Executive Director, you'll contribute to the development of TMU's long-term strategic energy management and GHG emissions reduction strategies, identifying opportunities where engineering innovation can translate into meaningful environmental and operational impact. You'll assess potential projects and initiatives, evaluate options, establish measures of success, and develop practical approaches to turn ideas into results.
As a project leader, you'll take initiatives from concept through implementation, coordinating engineering studies, engaging stakeholders, and managing projects designed to achieve both immediate energy savings and long-term emissions reduction goals. You'll bring together technical expertise, analytical thinking, and project management to ensure that investments in energy efficiency deliver measurable and lasting results.
You'll also establish and maintain processes for tracking energy use, monitoring performance, and measuring progress against energy and emissions reduction targets. By turning complex energy data into actionable insights, you'll help the university understand what is working, where opportunities remain, and how it can continue to improve.
