Database Analyst (Summer Student Position)

Maple Leaf Dentistry is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Database Analyst Summer Student to join our team for an 8-week summer position. This role is ideal for a student interested in business, marketing, data management, and healthcare administration who is looking to gain valuable hands-on experience in a professional healthcare environment.
About the Role
The successful candidate will assist with organizing, maintaining, and analyzing patient and business data to support marketing initiatives, patient communications, and operational efficiency. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical business and analytical skills while contributing to meaningful projects within a growing dental practice.
Responsibilities
- Review, organize, and maintain database records
- Assist with data cleanup and quality assurance initiatives
- Support marketing and patient outreach projects through data analysis
- Generate reports and summaries using practice management software and spreadsheets
- Identify trends and opportunities to improve patient engagement
- Ensure data accuracy and confidentiality at all times
- Assist with other administrative and business projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Business, Commerce, Marketing, Analytics, or related post-secondary program
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Excel and other computer software
- Interest in marketing, business operations, or data analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Eligibility Requirements This position is funded through Canada Summer Jobs. Applicants must:
- Have permanent residency or Canadian citizenship
- Be under the age of 30
