About Spirit of Math
Spirit of Math is Canada's premier after-school mathematics enrichment program, dedicated to helping students become confident problem solvers and critical thinkers. Our unique curriculum challenges high-performing students through advanced problem-solving, logical reasoning, and mathematical excellence.
The new Spirit of Math Milton campus is seeking passionate and engaging educators to teach Grade 6 and Grade 7 students in a dynamic and supportive learning environment.
Position Overview
As a Grade 6 & 7 Mathematics Teacher, you will inspire students to develop advanced mathematical thinking and problem-solving skills. Teachers deliver Spirit of Math's proprietary curriculum while creating a positive and challenging classroom experience that encourages academic growth and confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons using Spirit of Math's curriculum and teaching methodology.
- Foster a supportive, respectful, and challenging learning environment.
- Encourage students to think critically and solve complex mathematical problems.
- Provide individualized support to students as needed.
- Assess student progress and maintain accurate records of performance.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student achievement and development.
- Participate in teacher training, meetings, and professional development activities.
- Maintain classroom management and uphold Spirit of Math standards and policies.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Mathematics, Engineering, Science, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of mathematics concepts at the elementary and middle school levels.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Passion for teaching and inspiring students.
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
Preferred
- Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) designation.
- Experience teaching Grades 6-8 mathematics.
- Experience working with gifted, high-achieving, or enrichment-focused students.
- Familiarity with problem-based learning methodologies.

Schedule
- Classes held every Monday from 4:15 pm to 9:00pm

Pay: $11,000.00-$15,000.00 per year
