Overview
We are seeking a motivated Journeyman and Apprentice Plumber to join our construction team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in plumbing systems, construction management, and project coordination. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and interested in developing a comprehensive understanding of plumbing installation and maintenance within large-scale construction projects. Responsibilities
- Assist senior plumbers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems according to project specifications and schematics
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to support accurate installation processes
- Support the preparation and organization of materials and tools needed for plumbing tasks
- Contribute to quality control efforts by ensuring work meets safety standards and project requirements
- Help monitor project progress and report on work completed or any issues encountered
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks within project schedules
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and best practices
Requirements
- Basic understanding of construction principles, with a strong interest in plumbing systems
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating is preferred
- Prior supervising experience or exposure to construction supervision is advantageous but not required
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and budgeting processes within construction projects is beneficial
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various project demands
