We are a busy custom steel fabrication shop looking for a motivated CAD/CAM Programmer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and seeing projects through from concept to completion. Every day is different, and you'll play a key role in helping keep production running efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Program CNC milling operations using Mastercam
- Create and optimize CNC plasma cutting programs
- Review customer drawings and develop manufacturing plans
- Estimate fabrication and machining jobs
- Produce and revise shop drawings as required
- Work closely with the shop team to improve processes and solve production challenges
- Assist with setup, troubleshooting, and process improvements
- Provide hands-on support in the shop as needed on a variety of fabrication and machining projects
- Help maintain production schedules in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Qualifications
Required:
- Experience programming CNC machines using Mastercam
- Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, and manufacturing processes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Preferred:
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Experience with CNC plasma cutting systems
- Experience estimating fabrication or machining work
- Background in custom steel fabrication or metal manufacturing

Compensation & Benefits
