PROSTAFF is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Paint Line Operator for our client. This is a great opportunity for an experienced manufacturing professional with forklift and hand/power tool experience.
Position Summary
The Paint Line Operator will perform tasks related to the powder coat production line, including loading and unloading an overhead conveyor, operating a variety of hand tools, performing quality inspections, and preparing products for shipment.
The successful candidate will be expected to operate efficiently according to established procedures while following all safety protocols and workplace policies.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload aluminum railings and components onto the conveyor line.
- Insert PVC profile glazing into aluminum railings.
- Handle parts safely and properly.
- Perform regular quality checks and inspections on products and components.
- Inspect, package, and accurately label outgoing shipments.
- Assist with loading and unloading shipments.
- Operate hand and power tools safely.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas and equipment.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and company policies.
- Assist with routine maintenance and other production duties as required.
Qualifications & Skills
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Forklift experience and certification required.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Ability to use and read a tape measure.
- Ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work in hot, cold, and fast-paced environments.
- Experience with routine maintenance operations is an asset.
- Highly flexible with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a diverse work environment.
- Ability to safely perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.
Education
- High school diploma required.
Position Details
- Pay: $18.00/hour
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
- Potential Overtime: Occasional overtime may be required until approximately 4:30 p.m. Advance notice will be provided.
- Assignment Duration: Through the end of November
