Taggart Construction Limited is looking for an experienced Excavator Operator to join our field team on water and sewer infrastructure projects across the Ottawa region.

In this role, you will operate excavators safely and efficiently to support the installation of sanitary, storm, and watermain systems. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in precise work, understands the importance of safe excavation around underground utilities, and is ready to contribute to major civil construction projects in the region.
What You’ll Do
- Operate excavators on watermain, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, road, and site servicing projects.
- Dig trenches, work to line and grade, support pipe crews, and operate safely around underground utilities.
- Keep projects moving by working closely with forepersons, pipelayers, labourers, and other operators.
- Complete equipment checks, identify issues early, and take pride in safe, clean, productive work.
What You Bring
- Experienced excavator operator with a strong background in heavy civil construction.
- Water, sewer, and site servicing experience is required.
- Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel to various job sites across the Ottawa region.
