Smith's Gastropub is currently hiring an experienced Bartender/Server for our lively bar in the heart of iconic Gastown. If you are looking for a fun working environment with awesome customers and coworkers then this may be the perfect role for you!
Duties include but are not limited to:

Welcome guests warmly and create a memorable first impression

Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently

Provide attentive table service, managing assigned sections to ensure exceptional guest experiences

Process payments using the POS system with accuracy and discretion

Verify age requirements for alcohol service by checking valid identification

Maintain cleanliness of tables, service areas, and workstations throughout the shift
-
Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner, answering questions and offering recommendations

Upsell premium menu items and specialty cocktails when appropriate

Collaborate with bartenders and team members to ensure smooth service flow

Support bar operations with additional duties as needed

Qualifications and Certifications
-
High-School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent
-
Minimum of 2 years of serving experience in a busy bar or restaurant
-
Serving It Right certification
-
Ability to handle busy crowds in a fast-paced environment
-
Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
-
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills

Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays
