Lexterra Land Ltd. is currently seeking a Surface Land Agent to join their team. This dynamic role requires an individual capable of multi-tasking with excellent project management and organizational skills. REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years surface land experience
- 2 to 5 years’ experience
- Extensive knowledge of surface land practices and procedures
- Understanding of provincial regulations
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to effectively prioritize a demanding workload
- Adaptability to change
- Ability to travel, must possess valid driver’s license
- Land Agent License
- Commissioner of Oaths
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Negotiate with surface rights owners for the acquisition of land rights, right-of-way, damage settlements, rental reviews and lease amendments
- Liaising with landowners, industry stakeholders, and client representatives
- Update Surface Coordinator/Client throughout the duration of a project
- Keeping informed of changing regulatory requirements and surface land compensation
- Assessing and settling damage claims
- Any other tasks or duties as required by management
