Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily cleaning operations within our facility. The ideal candidate will ensure high standards of cleanliness, maintain efficient workflow, and lead a team of housekeeping staff. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a solid background in custodial services and facilities maintenance. The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our clients while maintaining a safe and organized environment.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff to ensure timely and thorough cleaning of all areas
- Conduct inspections to verify cleanliness standards are met and address any deficiencies promptly
- Train new team members on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and use of equipment such as hand tools, power tools, and custodial supplies
- Schedule shifts and assign tasks based on workload and staffing levels
- Perform routine maintenance tasks using hand tools and power tools to repair or maintain facilities as needed
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper usage and storage
- Collaborate with facility management to develop cleaning protocols that adhere to safety standards
- Address customer service concerns professionally, ensuring client satisfaction with the cleanliness and overall appearance of the facility
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, safety incidents, and equipment maintenance
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning, custodial services, or facilities maintenance with supervisory responsibilities preferred
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment operation (including power tools), and custodial best practices
- Ability to operate hand tools and perform minor repairs or maintenance tasks using power tools
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during shifts
- Exceptional communication skills for effective team leadership and customer interactions
- Experience with facilities maintenance or troubleshooting minor issues is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
