Empowered by Speech and Language is a growing private practice which provides virtual, in-home and in-clinic Speech-Language Pathology services in Durham and Scarborough. We see a wide range of children with articulation, motor-speech, language delays, literacy challenges, and developmental disorders including Autism and DownSyndrome. We are looking for a CDA who is able to service the Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, and Oshawa area.
Responsibilities
- Provide therapy to clients under the supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist
- Work with clients and families from different backgrounds and specialized populations
- Develop therapy materials for use with individual clients
- Collaborate and consult with SLP and other practitioners
- Utilize research information to support evidence-based practice
Experience and Qualifications
- Communication Disorders Assistant Diploma (preferred but not required)
- Member of CDAAC (preferred but not required)
- Professional liability insurance (required)
- Practical communication skills with colleagues, clients and their families, and third parties
- Accepting respectful feedback to improve clinical practice
- Understanding and lived practice of inclusivity
- Fluency in another language is considered an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual
Pay: $57.00-$68.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3 – 25 per week
