Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server/Bartender to join our dynamic restaurant team. This role involves providing exceptional guest service, preparing and serving food and beverages, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and experience in food service environments. Prior knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS, along with strong time management abilities, is essential to succeed in this fast-paced setting.
Duties
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using POS systems like Micros POS
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and perform cashiering duties with accuracy
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and food safety procedures are followed at all times
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, bar area, and dining spaces in accordance with sanitation standards
- Assist in food preparation when necessary, supporting kitchen staff as needed
- Provide attentive guest services by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Manage time effectively during busy hours to serve multiple tables efficiently without compromising service quality
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Familiarity with serving protocols, food safety standards, and sanitation practices
- Experience using POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately
- Knowledge of food industry operations including food handling, preparation, and hospitality best practices
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in upselling menu items to enhance guest experience is a plus
