Music Program Assistant
Newton's Grove School is seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and highly proficient instrumental musician to join our JK–12 Music Program as a Music Program Assistant.This hands-on position combines student support, classroom assistance, and program administration, working alongside our music faculty in a busy and growing program.
Responsibilities include:
- Working individually and in small groups with instrumental students needing additional support or challenge
- Supporting beginner musicians with technique, tone, music reading, and rhythm
- Helping rapidly progressing beginners prepare for integration into their grade-level bands
- Assisting music teachers during classes and rehearsals
- Assisting, when needed, with Junior Music, Choir, and musical productions
- Supporting concerts and other Music Department activities
- Assisting with music library organization, attendance, materials, photocopying, setup, and cleanup

We are looking for someone with a strong instrumental background who is confident working with young musicians at different levels. The ideal candidate will be patient, encouraging, dependable, organized, and comfortable assisting with instrumental technique and ensemble skills.
