In this position, you'll be responsible for safely transporting freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of vehicle safety and compliance. Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks to transport freight to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Able to operate a manual truck.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load security
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs in compliance with company policies
- Collaborate with dispatchers and warehouse teams to coordinate schedules and resolve any logistical issues promptly
- Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling to prevent accidents or injuries
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience operating heavy trucks and commercial vehicles in various driving conditions
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and basic automotive repair skills is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving and heavy equipment use
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, loading, unloading, and standing for extended periods
- Excellent communication skills.
Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
