Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Lawn Care Technician to join our landscaping team. This role involves maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces through various lawn and landscape maintenance activities. Duties
- Perform lawn mowing, edging, trimming, and fertilization to ensure healthy and attractive landscapes
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators and irrigation systems for installation and maintenance projects
- Assist with planting, pruning, and landscape design tasks to improve aesthetic appeal
- Maintain and repair gardening tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Conduct routine inspections of irrigation systems and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Apply horticultural practices to promote plant health and growth
- Support construction or installation projects related to landscape features such as patios, retaining walls, or water features
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all landscaping activities
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and proper storage of tools and materials
Skills
- Experience with excavators, irrigation systems, gardening, and horticulture techniques
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance including mowing, pruning, fertilizing, and pest control
- Mechanical knowledge related to the operation and repair of hand tools and power tools
- Familiarity with construction practices relevant to outdoor projects
- Ability to operate landscaping machinery safely and effectively
- Strong understanding of maintenance procedures for various landscape features
- Physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills for project execution
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team with a focus on quality workmanship
