Job Title: EDM Operator/Carbon Cutter

Job Summary:
AarKel Windsor is seeking an experienced EDM Operator/Carbon Cutter to join our team. The successful candidate will report directly to the EDM Manager and will be responsible for the following duties:
Key Responsibilities:
Setup and operate CNC controlled and manual Electrical Discharge Machines to shape and cut moulds/dies to job specifications.
Mount and machine carbon electrodes for use on the Electrical Discharge Machines.
Flush and polish carbon as required.
Maintains all tooling and equipment for particular machine and work assigned.
Log in and record hours daily, allocated to the appropriate job operation performed through our ERP system.
Monitor and inspect work being produced on a continual basis to ensure quality and accuracy of workmanship.
Complies with all government Acts and Regulations pertaining to Occupational Health and Safety, W.H.M.I.S., etc.
Maintains company standards for housekeeping in everyday work routine and maintains cleanliness of machine and machine area.
Performs regular inspection and maintenance of assigned machine(s) and completes weekly/daily maintenance checks as required.
Reports ineffective tooling, machine problems, to immediate supervisor.
Operates overhead crane system using chains, eyebolts, slings, etc. to move and locate heavy materials for setup and removal. Maintains company standards for housekeeping in everyday work routine and maintains cleanliness of machine and machine area.
Identifies quality/production/efficiency problems and participates in providing a solution to such problems.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience operating EDM machines and carbon cutting equipment
Experience working with high-precision components is required
Experienced with ONA machines and Autodesk Software/PowerMill
Strong attention to detail and quality control
Good mathematical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime when required
Safety-conscious and able to follow all safety protocols and procedures

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
