Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems and the ability to work on various projects, including building and renovation tasks. This role requires proficiency in both industrial and low-voltage electrical work, as well as the capability to read blueprints and schematics effectively.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings. This includes fire alarm work.
- Be proficient in troubleshooting, have a general understanding of electrical to be able to accomplish this in a timely manner.
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various electrical tasks.
- Be able to communicate clearly.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on renovation projects to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing all duties.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including low voltage applications.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools related to electrical work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Certificate of qualification or Red Seal
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Ability to pass background check
