We're looking for an enthusiastic Line Cooks to join our team, bringing our menu to life by following recipes and maintaining top-notch food safety standards. This position plays a key role in supporting our restaurant operations through food preparation, production, and maintaining the highest food safety standards. Duties
- Prepares ingredients by washing, cutting, measuring, and mixing according to recipes.
- Cooks dishes using various methods (baking, grilling, frying, boiling, steaming).
- Monitors and adjusts temperatures of kitchen equipment for proper cooking.
- Portions, assembles, and garnishes dishes ensuring consistency and presentation standards.
- Checks freshness, quality, and seasoning of all ingredients and finished dishes.
- Maintains strict food safety, sanitation, and proper storage procedures.
- Manages inventory through stock rotation, reporting shortages, and following FIFO.
- Ensures kitchen equipment is clean, safe, and reports issues when needed.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of culinary practices, food safety, preparation and production.
- Skilled in knife handling, use of kitchen equipment, and accommodating special dietary needs.
- Physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Conversational English required, along with strong teamwork skills in fast-paced environments.
- Valid work permit required; High school diploma or culinary studies and Food-Safe Certification preferred, plus 2–5 years comisary kitchen or similar experience.
