NVT Logistics Ltd has an immediate opening for experienced Combo/Hydrovac Operators to join our expanding company in the Fort St. John area. Full-time positions available with benefits and competitive wages.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist to perform pre-start & complete hazards assessments, and equipment and report all deficiencies to supervisors immediately and required paperwork
- General Hydrovac/combo work, exposing and locating underground utilities, tank cleaning etc.
- Exposing telecommunication lines and conduits.
- Completely implement company procedures for safe work practices
- Operate equipment in a safe and professional manner
- Ensure all Hydrovac truck equipment and components are always in a good working condition
- Follow company policies and procedures for routine maintenance, perform general housekeeping
- Perform minor repairs to truck as needed
- Work around shop as needed
- Maintain and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment
- Compliance with all company rules and procedures
- Any other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Valid Class 3 Driver’s license.
- Operator on a truck for minimum of 3 year
- Good communication skills
- Safety Tickets: First Aid & AED/CPR, CSTS-09, WHMIS, TDG, H2S Alive, Confined Space, Fall Protection
- Flexible work schedule to accommodate production needs
- Must have own transportation, willing to work out of town and in all seasons
- Must complete a mandatory Pre- Employment paperwork
- Energetic, confident self-starters, with a strong work ethic
- Physical ability to perform work
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test pre-employment and post incident (or be in compliance with our drug and alcohol program)
