About Us:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Office Administrator/Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day operations of a growing equipment supplier. As a central point of contact, this role supports customer interactions, administrative processes, and financial recordkeeping while working closely with the other departments to keep operations running smoothly. This position requires accounting skillsets to make day to day decisions within our system, as well as to gather monthly / quarterly reporting.
Position Overview:
This is a part time position requiring 24-30 hours per week in-office. This position reports to the General Manager and is responsible for managing day-to-day office operations, financial recordkeeping & accounting, payroll, and general correspondence.
This position could lead to a full-time role if preferred, with the additional of sales support and sales related administration duties.
Key Responsibilities:
● Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
● Process vendor invoices, purchase orders, payments, and financial transactions related to sales, parts, and service.
● Record customer payments, daily deposits, and receipts.
● Maintain vendor account records and related financial obligations.
● Prepare financial summaries and reports to support management review.
● Support month-end and year-end reporting in coordination with external bookkeepers and accountants.
● Manage company payroll.
● Submit WSIB and HST remittances.
● Manage incoming phone calls, emails, and general correspondence, directing inquiries to the appropriate department.
● Manage office supply ordering and vendor relationships.
● Stay up to date on bookkeeping, payroll, and regulatory best practices.
● Assist with sales administration tasks as required.
● Work in collaboration with other department managers.
● Complete work efficiently and maintain a clean & organized workspace.
● Communicate and collaborate with other team and department members.
● Follow all workplace health and safety policies.

Skills & Qualifications:
● College diploma or coursework in accounting, bookkeeping or administration.
● 2+ years experience in a related field.
● Knowledge of accounting systems and computer programs.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft OneDrive.
● Strong organization and recordkeeping skills.
● Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and be flexible when needed.
● Ability to meet deadlines.
● Strong communication and customer service skills.
● Ability to work individually as well as with other team members.

Compensation
● $27 - $30 per hour.
