Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team. As a Bakery Assistant, you will support our customers with technical support by assisting our sales team with baking demos at the customer location, with our baking and gelato ingredients; we will provide gelato training.
Your duties will entail emailings to target bakeries and geleteria's and provide tech support, this is an exciting opportunity to work with different chefs and travel.
-drop off catalogues to new potential business and inteoduce yourself
- Bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and other baked goods or gelato according to recipes and quality standards
- Decorate cakes and pastries with icing, glazes, and other toppings
-prepare samples for customers, comunicate with chefs from Italy who provide you with tech support
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bakery kitchen and work areas
- Assist customers with their bakery queries and provide exceptional customer service
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a bakery or food industry is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of baking techniques and familiarity with kitchen equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and positive attitude
- Basic understanding of food safety practices and guidelines
