Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians with routine vehicle repairs, maintenance, and diagnostics to develop practical skills.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform tasks such as brake repairs, oil changes, and component replacements.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to understand vehicle systems and repair procedures.
- Support the assembly and disassembly of automotive parts, ensuring proper fitment and safety standards.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely when handling engine components or other heavy parts during repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle status and repair needs, providing excellent customer service.
Experience
- Previous dealership or automotive repair shop experience is preferred; a strong desire to learn is essential.
- Basic mechanical knowledge with an understanding of automotive systems and components.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and schematics is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Experience in automotive repair or mechanic roles will help accelerate your development in this apprenticeship.
